Who is AURORA
Adrianna Sawchyn and Richard Danielson are the Directors of AURORA Sacred Healing and are Resource Tourism Outfitters based out of Cranberry Portage, Manitoba. AURORA is committed to putting our energy and skills towards helping people to lead richer, more fulfilling, more present, and more compassionate, happy lives connected to Mother Earth.
AURORA has established cooperative partnerships with not only a variety of Indigenous healing practitioners to provide a wide variety of practices to work the body, mind, and spirit, but also with land-based outfitters to provide outdoor connections for people. It has been these outdoor Ecotourism connections (eg. canoe/hiking trips), and the Land Based Indigenous education partnerships with First Nation organizations (eg. ice fishing, trapping, or medicine picking activities) that have become the focus of AURORA.
Adrianna Sawchyn
has been teaching high school Biology for over 30 years in The Pas and Opaskwayak Cree Nation. She has had a lifetime of coaching and promoting wellness and has always been closely connected to the Land. Being a triathlete, paddler, queen trapper competitor, and martial artist gave her the physical health, but teaching yoga really helped build the mental, emotional and spiritual health she was seeking.
Richard Danielson
is from the Split Lake First Nation and is a well-known and respected member of the Cranberry Portage community. He has been guiding fishers and hunters at various Lodges for over 30 years. He is a community hunter/fisherman and wood collector – sharing his resources with the people. He maintains his own trap line and loves to share the teachings that have been passed down to him for generations with others.

AURORA strongly believes that with these words - Live Everyday Sacred - we can help bring positive changes in lives of our people. These words are like a “seed” to living simple, healthy, connected lives full of gratitude. Our job is to provide services to help make the “soil fertile” for our clients so that their seeds will germinate and start to grow.
Education is the key to walking on this journey of reconciliation. Teachers in particular have a sacred responsibility to ensure that all their children, regardless of their heritage, are able to think about four key questions throughout their education:
“Where do I come from?”, “Where am I going?”, “Why am I here?”, and most importantly, “Who am I?”. – The Hon. Senator Murray Sinclair, Chair for the Truth and Reconciliation
